Lara GreenwayDirector and Producer
Lara started working at the BBC in the UK at the age of 19, but worked in many areas of film and television before spending 15 years as an actress & presenter, eventually settling as a writer/director/producer or any such combination of those roles.
After being shortlisted for UK Film Council/Screen East’s Digital Shorts Scheme in 2009, Lara wrote, directed and produced three short films – Hostile, Runner and Three – and then in 2010, she produced Hard Boiled Sweets (2012 Universal/Content), a crime ensemble feature with Ian Hart (Harry Potter, Backbeat), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Hot Fuzz), Peter Wight (Babel, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), written & directed by David L.G. Hughes.
Lara then moved straight on to produce Deviation (2012, Revolver Entertainment), a dark, psychological thriller feature written & directed by J.K. Amalou, starring Danny Dyer (Football Factory, Severance) and Anna Walton (Mutant Chronicles, Hellboy II).
Lara is currently writing her self-penned featurePerfeccion set in Spain, which she hopes will shoot in late 2013/2014 and will be her first feature as Writer/Director.
