Richard Cardona has spent the past two decades in various roles and aspects of the entertainment industry. Richard is thrilled to call himself part of the After Dark family, the largest horror distribution and production company in the United States, where he serves as Creative Executive.
After Dark Films (ADF), was formed by Writer, Producer, and Director Courtney Solomon, after the success of An American Haunting, starring Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek. ADF is also known for the filmfestival, Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For, a weeklong, nationwide theatricalrelease featuring 8 never-before-seen horror feature films. In 2010, ADF forged a new brand focused in the development and production of quality horror films, “After Dark Originals: A New Brand of Fear.” ADF produced all 8 of the first “Originals” slate in partnership with Syfy and Lionsgate.
After Dark’s latest venture involves a partnership with legendary filmmaker Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard, V for Vendetta), with distribution through Warner Bros., to produce five original action films featuring stars such as: Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Peter Weller, Scott Adkins, Jim Caviezel, Cung Le, and Christian Slater to name a few.
