Script Labs 7 and 8 (2012): Writing Drama for features and TV image

Stephen May, the Director of The Screen Arts Institute is inviting applications from sixteen writers to workshop their ideas with him during the festival.  Stephen is a writer/director and has worked with the best in the business on both sides of the Atlantic, with contacts as far and wide as Working Title and Plan B (Brad Pitt’s Company).

Each lab will consist of eight participants for three hours, making this intimate session the perfect opportunity to develop your story and analyse its market potential.

The project considered best out of the sixteen projects will get its writer a face-to-face story meeting with Sophie Meyer, Head of Development at Ealing Studios.

In addition, the remaining fifteen projects will have their loglines and one page pitches given to Sophie and Stephen will promote stand-out projects to his US and UK contacts.

Here’s how to submit (please note, Script Labs are for LSF delegates only):

  1. The logline, one page pitch and first ten pages of your script ONLY (pls ensure your name is on each page/the title page and your documents are .doc, .docx and/or PDF – all other formats will be deleted)
  2. Send to scriptlabs@londonswf.com and to Stephen.may@thescreenartsinstitute.com with STEPHEN MAY LAB in the subject line and your LSF ticket number in the body of the email somewhere.

DEADLINE: October 12th, 5.00pm UK time

Good luck!
