Matthew Smaglik, is an independent producer based in New York City. Most recently he co-produced Thirst Street featuring Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston. Thirst Street premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, will play Venice Days and has been acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Previously, Matthew served as the creative director and producer for Dogfish Pictures a company known for (Like Crazy, Compliance and Prince Avalanche). With Dogfish, Matthew co-produced the sci-fi feature Diverge, which won the U.S In Progress top prize and was acquired by Gravitas Ventures. Matthew has also produced features Noble Earth in Italy and Sweet Parents which premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival in 2017. With a focus on international co-production, Matthew has participated in several prestigious programs including IFP Film Week, Trans Atlantic Partners, the Frontières Film Financing Forum in Amsterdam and presented at the Frontières Platform with the Marche Du Film in Cannes in 2017. Matthew is focused on emerging talents and taking advantage of the changing media landscape.
