Naomi Wright is a co-founder of film & TV produciton company Silver Salt Films, which she runs with producer Helen Jones, with the aim of creating bold, distinctive content for a global audience.

Naomi EP’d Silver Salt Films’ first feature film ‘Censor’ which premiered at Sundance and was nominated for 9 British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs), winning the 2021 Méliès d’Or. It subsequently sold to nearly all worldwide territories and was released theatrically and digitally around the globe. Naomi also co-produced ‘The Works and Days (of Tayoko Shiojiri in the Shiotani Basin)’,  which won the Golden Bear for Best Film in the Encounters competition at the 2020 Berlinale and attracted theatrical distribution across multiple international territories. Naomi currently has oversight over the development slate at Silver Salt Films, alongside Helen Jones. The company received the BBC Small Indies Award in 2023.

Naomi Wright began her career on the flagship documentary arts series ‘The South Bank Show’ on ITV and then went on to produce documentaries and develop series for Channel 4, ITV1, BBC2 and Sky Arts.Naomi has t utored on the MA in Directing at the MetFilm School, including sessions on how to pitch film & TV ideas. She is on the core team of Cinesisters, and a member of WFTV and Directors UK.
