Nasreen Ahmed is currently a Script Editor on Doctors and has worked on over 200 scripts. A couple of years ago, she also storylined a five part special week on the subject of Homelessness. During the course of her BBC career she has also produced and directed a radio drama called Silver Street for the BBC Asian Network.

Nasreen’s versatile experience also includes working as a Live Events Producer for the BBC Asian Network and producing several major events including a project entitled ‘Meera Syal’s Story of Asian Comedy’ which included four radio documentaries as well as a live comedy event. She also played a key role in organising and marketing a successful music event in Bradford in collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. 

A couple of years ago Nasreen took a break from the BBC and went off to storyline at Coronation Street for six months where she got to work on some great stories including a 80s themed wedding and the exit story for a really big character.

In 2017, Nasreen won the British Muslim Award for ‘Services to Media’ partly for her work on Doctors and got her first Producer credit by working on a special episode featuring an all singing, all dancing Bollywood style marriage proposal. The Bollywood proposal won ‘Scene of the Year’ at this year’s British Soap awards. Nasreen is currently editing multiple scripts for Doctors and recently story produced and script edited 6 episodes on Mental Health Awareness.
