Comedy writer Tobi Wilson is currently a Senior Writer on Cartoon Network’s children’s animated series The Amazing World of Gumball, now in it’s 6th series. He has written across five series on over 100 episodes. Tobi was part of the writing team on Gumball who won the 2013 Children’s BAFTA Award for writing, plus their subsequent 2014 nomination, and most recent 2016 win of the same award. Tobi also wrote the episode ‘The Shell’ which won the Best Children’s Series and the Children’s Choice Award at the British Animation Awards in 2016.

Tobi has recently written on Dangermouse Series 2 for CBBC, and is currently working with Nickelodeon UK on the development of a new animated series, for which two scripts have been commissioned. He is currently lead writer on the development of a new TV series based on the characters of Icelandic lifestyle brand Tulipop.

He has developed an original comedy pilot for French company Very Very Smart Entertainment and is currently working on new original ideas for animation and live-action.

Tobi has been a member of the sketch comedy group Sad Faces since 2006 as both a writer and performer. The group have performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2008 and their most recent show, The Dawn Chorus, was at The Underbelly in 2015.
